Atharv Nanore Murder Case: Viral Post Sparks Tension in Gittikhadan, Accused Held

Nagpur: Tension flared once again in the Gittikhadan area after a controversial video related to the Atharv Nanore murder case surfaced on social media. The situation escalated late Wednesday night when a large crowd gathered outside Gittikhadan Police Station, demanding immediate and strict action against the person who posted the video.

According to police sources, the viral video was allegedly posted by Viru Yadav, the elder brother of one of the accused, Jai Yadav, who is already under arrest in connection with the murder. The post, considered highly sensitive and objectionable, triggered outrage in the locality and led to unrest.

As the video spread rapidly, tensions mounted, prompting residents to surround the police station and press for swift action. Responding to the situation, police acted quickly and arrested Viru Yadav. However, the atmosphere in the area remained tense till late night.

The case is linked to the brutal murder of Atharv Nanore, who was reportedly abducted during a Hanuman Jayanti procession and later killed. Police have already arrested the three main accused involved in the murder.

Meanwhile, the latest development has added a new dimension to the case. In the viral clip, Viru Yadav is reportedly seen traveling in a car with 4–5 associates. Police suspect their involvement as well, and further arrests are likely. Sources indicate that up to 8–10 individuals could be taken into custody as the investigation progresses.

Gittikhadan Police have intensified the probe and are currently interrogating the arrested accused to identify others linked to the incident.
