
Nagpur: In a major breakthrough in the Atharv Nanore murder case, city police have detained three accused, including the victim’s neighbour, in a joint operation by Gittikhadan Police and the Crime Branch.
According to sources, all three accused are aged between 20 to 22 years and were picked up following technical analysis and local intelligence inputs. The suspects are currently in custody and being interrogated.
Atharv Nanore, a 14-year-old boy, had gone missing during a procession in the Gittikhadan area. His disappearance triggered a search operation, which later turned into a murder investigation after his body was found in the Kalmeshwar area with injury marks.
Sources further revealed that one of the accused is Atharv’s neighbour, while the other two are his accomplices. Investigators are now working to establish the exact motive and sequence of events leading to the crime.
However, Nagpur Police have not yet issued an official statement confirming the arrests or revealing detailed findings.
The case has sparked outrage across the city, with growing demands for strict action against the accused. More details are expected as the investigation progresses.
