Nagpur: Panic gripped parts of Nagpur on Monday night following rumours of fuel shortage at several petrol pumps, leading to temporary closures and long queues of anxious citizens rushing to stock up on petrol and diesel.
However, Nagpur District Collector Vipin Itankar has firmly dismissed these claims, assuring residents that there is no shortage of fuel in the city. “There is adequate fuel supply in Nagpur. Citizens need not panic or rush to petrol pumps,” he said.
The district administration clarified that fuel supply across petrol pumps remains smooth and uninterrupted. Officials urged citizens not to believe in rumours and to avoid panic buying, which could unnecessarily disrupt normal supply.
Appealing for calm, the administration requested residents to act responsibly and not be misled by unverified information, assuring that the situation is fully under control.
