Nagpur: Two 19 year old youths were killed in a late night road accident near Kachipura Square in Nagpur after their allegedly rashly driven motorcycle hit a bystander and then crashed into a roadside pole.
The deceased have been identified as Yug Vishal Chanakapure, 19, a resident of Ramdaspeth Kachipura Vasti under Bajaj Nagar Police Station limits, and Rudra Shashikant Somkuwar, 19, also a resident of the same locality. One of the youths died on the spot, while the other succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Krims Hospitals.

Speaking to Nagpur Today, DCP Zone 1 Rishikesh Reddy said that as per preliminary information, both the biker and pillion rider were killed after the motorcycle rammed into a pole on the फुटpath. The accident occurred after they allegedly hit a girl who was standing by the roadside.
Bajaj Nagar Police Station SHO Chauhan stated that initial reports suggest the youths were riding at high speed from Kachipura towards Lokmat Square. Near Vishnu Ji Ki Rasoi, they allegedly struck a girl standing opposite the restaurant. Immediately after the impact, the rider lost control and the bike crashed into a pole.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
