Nagpur: What began as a dramatic “kidnapping alert” on Friday afternoon turned into a startling tale of suspicion, secrecy and a love triangle, leaving the police scrambling before the truth finally emerged.
The incident unfolded in the jurisdiction of Nandanvan police station, where officers were suddenly alerted about an alleged abduction of a 30-year-old married woman. The control room message was urgent: A woman had been forcibly taken away in a car from Sangharsh Nagar in Wathoda. Within minutes, police teams were on the move, sirens cutting through the routine calm of the area.

But what they discovered was far from a kidnapping plot.
According to police inquiries, the woman had been in a relationship with a young man named Rahul. Her husband had reportedly grown suspicious and decided to confirm his doubts. On Friday, when she stepped out of the house to meet Rahul, the husband quietly followed her in his car, determined to catch them in the act.
His suspicions proved right.
In broad daylight, at Sangharsh Nagar, he confronted the duo while they were talking. The sudden appearance of the husband stunned both the woman and her lover. What followed was a heated exchange. Voices were raised, tempers flared, and Rahul was allegedly abused. The commotion soon drew a curious crowd, turning the private confrontation into a public spectacle.
Amid the chaos, the husband took his wife along in his vehicle. A few others were also seated inside.
