
Nagpur: A family’s pilgrimage to Shirdi turned costly after unidentified thieves broke into their residence in Ramainagar, under the jurisdiction of Kapil Nagar Police Station, and decamped with valuables worth ₹2.40 lakh.
According to police sources, the complainant Keshavram Tejram Pardhi (56), a resident of Plot No. 186, Ramainagar, Nari Road, had gone to Shirdi with his family on February 7 and 8. When they returned home, they found the main door forcibly broken open.
A check inside the house revealed that cash and valuables collectively worth ₹2.40 lakh were missing.
Based on the complaint, Kapil Nagar Police have registered a case under Sections 305(A), 331(3) and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway to trace the accused.
