Unions have also demanded complete reimbursement of pending funds under the Right to Education (RTE) Act.

Federation President Ravindra Fadnavis has urged the government to call an emergency meeting to address these long-standing issues. He emphasized that the government must act promptly in the interest of teachers and to ensure quality education in the state.

Teacher unions believe that this statewide shutdown will help draw the government’s attention to their long-pending demands and bring much-needed relief to teaching and non-teaching staff across Maharashtra.
