Nagpur: A shocking incident unfolded in the densely populated Bhandewadi area of the city when a leopard entered a residential building and made its way to the second floor. The incident caused panic in the locality, with residents gathering below the building.
Local residents noticed some unusual activity and upon investigation discovered the leopard inside the building. Police and forest department teams immediately rushed to the scene after being alerted. The ‘Help for Animal Welfare Association’ team also promptly arrived to assess the leopard’s condition and confirmed that it was an injured animal.
Forest Department Action and Safe Rescue
The forest department team took special measures to safely capture the leopard. With great caution, they conducted the rescue operation and successfully captured the injured big cat. The forest department stated that the leopard is now safe and will soon be released back into the forest.
Administration Appeals for Caution
During the incident, the administration appealed to area residents to remain indoors to prevent any untoward incidents. Following the joint action by the forest department and police, the situation in the area was brought completely under control.
