Nagpur: The controversy surrounding the alleged data leak of students who had applied for JEE-NEET coaching has taken a new turn, with Pyramid Tutorials Institute distancing itself from all allegations. After the BARTI (Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute) issued a notice to the coaching centre, the institute submitted a two-page clarification to the Director General, firmly denying any wrongdoing.
The founder and director of Pyramid Tutorials stated that the institute did not possess any student data, contact numbers, or other information from the departmental office. “We have never accessed, used, or shared any confidential information through any means,” he clarified. The institute also claimed that it had not conducted any seminar for JEE-NEET aspirants selected under the Nagpur division.
To support its stance, the institute submitted photographs from the Samata Rally held at Deekshabhoomi on October 1 and from a seminar conducted at its own premises on October 2, asserting that these events were unrelated to the allegations.
However, according to the written complaint received by BARTI, photographs of a seminar leaflet allegedly organized by Pyramid Tutorials were attached. The pamphlet prominently displays the logos of BARTI and the State Government, along with Pyramid Tutorials. It also mentions that a “Felicitation Ceremony and Career Guidance Seminar for Meritorious Students” was held on October 1, citing BARTI Regional Office, Nagpur as one of the organizers.
BARTI’s role under scrutiny
The role of Anil Walke, Assistant Project Manager at BARTI’s Nagpur Regional Office, has not yet been clarified, raising further questions. How the confidential student data from BARTI’s database was accessed or leaked remains a major concern.
All eyes are now on BARTI Director General Sunil Ware in Pune, as the institute is expected to initiate a detailed investigation and take appropriate action in the coming days.
