Nagpur: A major accident was narrowly averted near Symbiosis College in Nagpur on Friday when an Omni car suddenly caught fire while in motion near the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana area.
According to reports, Rajendra Tathekar was driving his petrol and CNG-operated Omni when smoke suddenly started billowing from the bonnet. Within moments, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Acting swiftly, Tathekar jumped out of the moving car and managed to save his life.

Fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control, but by then, the car had been completely gutted. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident, though the vehicle was reduced to ashes. Eyewitnesses said the incident caused panic among commuters on the busy road. The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
