The Ajni–Pune Vande Bharat Express has achieved 134% occupancy and ₹18.6 lakh revenue in just two days, with waiting lists already forming. The train’s success may prompt Indian Railways to add more coaches on the Nagpur–Pune route.

Record Occupancy and Revenue
- Operating between Ajni (Nagpur) and Pune, the train’s occupancy has crossed 134%, meaning seat demand is nearly one-third higher than capacity.
- Currently running with 8 coaches, the train accommodates 530 passengers – 52 in Executive Class (EC) and 478 in Chair Car (CC).
- On August 12, the train earned ₹8,96,632, and on August 13, it earned ₹9,64,080 – totalling ₹18,60,712 in just two trips.
- Officials say that if the trend continues, the railways may consider adding more coaches to meet demand.
