The fire brigade received information about the fire at Ahuja Penmart, a stationery shop, around 3:30 PM. Due to the crowded area, the fire brigade promptly arrived at the scene. Nevertheless, the narrow lanes made it difficult for the fire trucks to reach the location. Within minutes, the fire had spread to nearby houses and shops.
As the fire intensified, additional fire engines from other parts of the city were summoned. By the time of reporting, about eight fire engines were at the site, working to extinguish the flames. Initial reports suggest that a short circuit might have caused the fire. Although there have been no casualties, the fire has resulted in substantial property damage, with goods worth lakhs of rupees destroyed. The incident caused a brief panic in the area, drawing a large crowd of onlookers. The fire brigade continued their efforts to bring the fire under control as the report was being filed.
