Ambazari Police bust hookah parlour running at The Village Cafe

Nagpur: In a late-night operation, Ambazari Police raided and busted a hookah parlour operating at The Village Cafe in Shivaji Nagar near the Basketball Ground in the early hours of Friday.

The accused owner, Ganesh Suresh Lalwani (29), a resident of Khamla, manager Vikky Dilip Sadwani (24), a resident of Sindhi Colony, Khamla, hookah supplier Ayush Gedam (20), a resident of Mangalwari Sadar, and Praveen Vinod (24), a resident of Sadar, have been booked by the police.
According to police sources, a squad from Ambazari Police was on patrolling duty when they received a tip-off about a hookah parlour operating under the guise of a cafe in Shivaji Nagar. Acting swiftly on the information, the police raided the premises and found The Village Cafe’s owner and manager serving hookah to its patrons.

An offence under relevant sections was registered against the accused.
