3 vehicle lifters arrested, 12 bikes recovered in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a significant breakthrough, the Lakadganj police busted a gang of vehicle lifters and recovered a dozen stolen vehicles from their possession.

The crime came to light when the Unit 4 of the Crime Branch apprehended an accused who had stolen a motorbike from Juni Mangalwari area of Lakadganj. This initial arrest subsequently led to the identification of two more accomplices involved in the scam.

The arrested accused have been identified as Rishikesh Vishal Meshram (26), a resident of Wathoda; Manish Ramdayal Domde (23), a resident of Samta Nagar; and Swapnil Devensingh Raghuvanshi (24), a resident of Bichhwa, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh.

According to police, the seized vehicles included two-wheelers, stolen from various police station areas across Nagpur including Lakadganj, Imambada, Panchpaoli, Jaripatka, Sakkardara, Nandanvan, Ajni, and Hudkeshwar. The accused, Rishikesh and Manish, confessed to their involvement in stealing four vehicles from Lakadganj police station area and one each from the other areas. The stolen vehicles were being sold to Swapnil.

The arrest was made by Senior PI Atul Sabnis and Woman API Amita Jaipurkar, PSI Yogesh Korde and staff including Arun Dharme, Mahesh Jadhav, Abhishek Shaniware, Shakeel Sheikh, and Deepak More.
