Smart India Hackathon is an initiative run by the Ministry of Education & AICTE in which 75 renowned colleges were selected as Nodal Centers across India by MoE. G H Raisoni College of Engineering Nagpur is one of the prominent Institute of Central India was selected as a Nodal center. 25 teams consisting of 149 students & mentors had worked for 36 hours continuously to provide solution on 5 problems given by Ministry of Culture on 25th& 26th August 2022.
The valedictory function of the SIH 22 at GHRCE was conducted on 26th evening in presence of Chairman RGI Shri. Sunilji Raisoni, Chief Guest, Center Head TCS Nagpur, Mr. Arvind Kumar, Guest of Honor, Operation Head Tech Mahindra Nagpur, Mr. Manish Agrawal, Director GHRCE, Dr. Sachin Untawale, Mr. Deakin Daney, Nodal Center Head, AICTE, Mrs. Nandini Bhattacharya Sahu, Regional Director ASI (West), Ministry of Culture, SIH Nodal center In-charge Dr. Dinesh Padole, Dean R&D Dr. Santosh Jaju& Steering Committee Member Dr. PremaDaigavane.Based on the evaluation by panel of judges5 winners were declared for 5 problem statements given by Ministry of culture. Each winner is awarded with 1 Lakh prize money along with certificates&Momento. The prizes were distributed by the hands of dignitaries present on the dais. Welcome address is delivered by Director GHRCE, Dr Sachin Untawale. Report of the event is presented by Dr. Jaju. Mr. Agrawal congratulated all participants and urged them to be a problem solver. The solutions provided by students will definitely solve the real life problems stated by Mr. Agrawal.

Mr. Arvind Kumar greeted all for crossing many hurdles to reach at the solution and told that all are winners because all have taken restless efforts from last 36 hours to reach to the final solution. Shri.Sunilji Raisoni given message to all that everyone should engage themselves in innovation & greeted the winning teamsand organizing team of GHRCE upon successful organization of event in his presidential speech. Evaluators, Mentors & Participants expressed their views and feedback about SIH & organizing the SIH at GHRCE. Dr. PremaDaigavane given the vote of thanks. Team SIH 22 GHRCE worked hard for the event and given credit to Shri Sunilji Raisoni Chairman RGI & Dr. Sachin Untawale Director GHRCE, Nagpur.
