Nagpur: The Nagpur district on Sunday witnessed number of single-day COVID-19 recoveries crossing 100 mark as 104 became free from coronavirus infection. With this, the number of cumulative recoveries increased to 5,68,965. The district continues to maintain the recovery rate of 98.14%.
On Sunday, active cases increased to 773 in Nagpur district.Thedistrict registered 128 new single-day COVID-19 cases. Nagpur rural reported 41 new cases while 87 citizens tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Nagpur city. With these additions, the number of cumulative positive cases increased to 5,80,077. Number of persons taking treatment at various hospitals decreased to 18 on Sunday.
Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has 7 patients of coronavirus, Meditrina has three, Kingsway and Railway Hospital have two each, while one each admitted in Wockhardt Hospital, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital, and Star City Hospital. On Sunday, in the district, 1,661 persons gave their swab samples for COVID-19 test. In Nagpur rural, 268 went for the test while 1,393 citizens from Nagpur city gave their samples. With this, the number of cumulative tests increased to 56,86,899.
