Nagpur: A Quarrel over payment of bills turned into ugly fight in Yashodhara Nagar in which members of two groups clashed with each other with sharp-edged weapons. Two persons were injured in the attacks, police officials said, adding that offences were registered against both groups. According to police, one Rishabh runs a Chinese food stall.
Accused Rinkesh Gayaprasad Shahu (27), a resident of Kamal Chowk, had gone to the stall and ordered a veg roll on Saturday night. After having the food, Shahu paid the bill. As Rishabh was not having change, he asked Shahu that he would return the remaining amount later. This irked Shahu and he picked a quarrel with him.
Shahu left the spot and returned with a friend at 12.15 am. The accused attacked Rishabh and bashed him up. When Rishabh’s uncle Dhanraj (47) intervened in the matter, the accused stabbed him with a sharp-edged weapon. An offence under Sections 324, 323, 504 and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered by the police.
In his complaint, Rinkesh Shahu alleged that Rishabh and his uncle attacked him with rods when he went to the shop to get the remaining amount. An offence under Sections 324, 323, 504 and 34 of IPC was registered by the police
