Nagpur: The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) issued guidelines for Chhath Puja on Monday. Under which, instructions have been given to celebrate Chhath Puja at home without gathering crowds on the banks of river, lake or sea. Especially the elderly and children have been advised not to step out of the house.
However, preparations have been made for Chhath Puja at Ambazari Lake in the city. Under such circumstances the possibility of gathering a crowd there cannot be ruled out.

Nevertheless, an appeal has been made by various organizations to celebrate Chhath Puja by following Covid rules.
In the guidelines, it is said that relaxations have been given at religious places and function conditionally after Covid pandemic came under control. Even then celebrate Chhath Puja at home.
People should not assemble on the banks of rivers, lakes or sea to gather crowds. Celebrate Chhath Puja at home. No Pandal can be made at Chhath Puja place. The NMC administration and police should try to advise people to follow Covid rules strictly.
