Nagpur: In an outrageous act, a 10-year-old girl was gang-raped by a teenager and two minor (juvenile) boys in Ganeshpeth area of the city on June 24 morning. The three accused lured the innocent girl with chocolates, took her to a secluded place and committed the heinous act.
The teenage accused Sanju Manoharlal Verma (19) and the two juvenile boys, residents of Ganeshpeth area, on June 24 between 7 and 8 am called the neighbouring 10-year old girl and lured her with giving her money for chocolates. The three accused later took the innocent girl to a vacant place and raped her. On her return to home, the victimized girl narrated the awful incident to her parents. Stunned by the devilish act on the part of the three accused, the father of the girl registered a case with Ganeshpeth Police.
Based on the complaint and medical report, Woman PSI Shinde booked the accused Sanju Manoharlal Verma and the two juvenile boys under Sections 376(D) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 4, 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and investigating the matter further.
