City records 5 accidental death cases in 24 hours

Nagpur: Five cases of accidental deaths were reported in different areas of city in the past 24 hours. The deceased include three men and two women.

In the first incident, 35-year old Sunita Sunil Bansod, resident of Minimata Nagar, Kalamna, received serious burn injuries when the stove she was cooking food exploded. The leaping flames engulfed Sunita and she received severe burn injuries. She was taken to Mayo Hospital but succumbed around 6 pm on Thursday. Kalamna API A S Pawar registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter further.

A young man, Mangesh Balkrishna Wane (33) of Balkrishna Nagar, Besa Road, suddenly collapsed at about 3 am of Friday while distributing sharbat at Manewada Square on the occasion of Ram Navami. Mangesh was rushed to GMCH but doctors there pronounced him brought dead. Ajni API Shejulkar has registered a case of accidental death and launched an in-depth probe.

In another incident, 48-year old Ambadas Tanaji Duble, native of Warora, Chandrapur, was travelling in a bus and coming to city to meet his daughter residing in front of Kothari Hospital, Wardha Road here. Suddenly Ambadas took ill and as his condition deteriorated, other passengers of the bus took him to GMCH around 7.30 pm on Friday. However, Ambadas was declared dead on arrival by doctors there. Dhantoli PSI Bhalavi has registered a case of accidental death and investigating further.

A 70-year old woman named Deepali Dilip Kolharkar, resident of Flat No. 4, Rachana Apartment, Shivaji Nagar, was found lying dead in bathroom of her house at about 7.30 pm on Friday. On the basis of information given by Udayan Anilchandra Kalande (57), Ambazari API Mandal has registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter further.

Maroti Dashrath Dekate (35) of Joshipura, near Vinayaki Power House, Yashodhara Nagar, committed suicide by hanging to ceiling of his house with the help of a ‘dupatta’ around 0015 hours of Saturday. Yashodhara Nagar API A M Selote, on the basis of information provided by Reshma Maroti Dekate (30), has registered a case of accidental death and investigating the matter further.
