Nagpur: In a ghastly road accident a motorcyclist was crushed to death on the spot when the bike was rammed by a rashly driven truck. The mishap occurred near Katol Check Post Square in Gittikhadan Police Station jurisdiction on Friday night.
The deceased man has not been identified till the filing of this report. The motorcycle has registration number MH-31/CX 7828. The truck (CG-04/DM 9630) driver, who is also not identified, has reportedly been arrested. Soon after the gory accident the nearby people and residents blocked the traffic triggering a snarl.
Tempers ran high as the body of the deceased man lay on the road depicting an awful picture. The motorcycle too suffered damages as a result of the impact. The deceased was not wearing headgear at the time of accident.

A team of cops of Gittikhadan Police Station reached the spot on being informed about the mishap and brought the situation under control. The body of the unidentified man was sent to Mayo Hospital for autopsy.
The truck driver was booked under Section 304(A) of IPC and placed under arrest. Further probe is underway.
