CM pats city Crime Branch for outstanding job under ‘Operation Muskan’

IMG-20160111-WA0082Nagpur: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis felicitated Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch of Nagpur Police, Ranjan Sharma for outstanding performance under “Operation Muskan.” The “Operation Muskan,” initiated by Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi, aimed at tracing the missing kids and other persons across the country.

Subsequently, Maharashtra Police implemented the ‘Operation Muskan’ in the state from July 1, 2015 to July 31, 2015 and the Nagpur Police Commissionerate , with great efforts, succeeded in locating a total of 611 missing persons including minor boys – 34, minor girls – 109, men — 213, women – 256. These missing persons were not only traced but handed over to their kith and kin. Many of the located 143 kids were properly rehabilitated and efforts were made to bring them in main streamline.

Pleased with the excellent achievement, the Chief Minister felicitated the Additional Police Commissioner (Crime Branch) Ranjan Sharma at a function held in Pune on Sunday. The “Operation Muskan” was undertaken by Nagpur Police under the guidance of Commissioner of Police S P Yadav, Joint Police Commissioner Rajwardhan, Additional Police Commissioner Shrikant Tarwade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Deepali Masirkar.
