Nagpur: A 40-year-old unidentified pedestrian was hit by a rashly driven car while he was crossing road in front of Puja Kirana Stores near Bhole Petrol Pump under Sitabuldi police station. The incident occurred at about 10.30 pm on June 19. The seriously injured pedestrian died on the spot. The police soon arrested car-driver Sanjay Wankhede, resident of Sahakar Nagar, Khamla Road in the city, and registered a case against him.
According to police, a silver coloured car No. MH 14/ CK 8367 was rashly driven by Sanjay Wankhede who hit the 40-year old unidentified pedestrian. Impact was such that the pedestrian died on the spot. The police made the panchanama and sent the body to Government Medical College and Hospital for postmortem report. Further investigation is on.
