Nagpur: State government”s ambitious scheme Jalyukt Shivar is getting tremendous response. The project is not just a scheme but has become a movement in Maharashtra said chief minister Devendra Fadnavis during his Nagpur district tour on Sunday.
The chief minister visited Mondha, Ukhli, Junewani, Hingni, Katol tehsil”s Panjra, Bajargaon, Borgaon, Nagpur tehsil”s Dhanoli, Ghurkhedi etc and reviewed the projects undergoing under Jalyukt Shivar scheme.
During his visit, district guardian minister Chandrashekher Bawankule, MLA Samir Meghe, MLA Ashish Deshmukh, divisional commissioner Anoop Kumar, district collector Sachin Kurve, zilla parishad”s CEO Shivaji Jondhale, former MLA Vijay Ghodmare and other concerned government officials were present.
While talking to press persons at Junewani, the chief minister said in 6.000 villages in the state 27 various works are being implemented under the ambitious scheme of the government. Even now the farm land is lying barren and dry. Unless the farm land brought under irrigation farmers will not attain stability. If needed funds will be released to complete the work on time. The work of ` 30 crore has been completed in areas falling under Lok Sabha constinuencies. In coming monsoon the completed form of work will be seen, following lot of people will begin to participate.
He further added that, around 20,000 villages will be drought free in tenure of his government in the State.
