Nagpur: An eight-year old girl and a married woman were raped in separate incidents in Jaripatka and Hudkeshwar areas. Two accused have been booked in this connection.
In the first incident, a Jaripatka-based woman told police that she had taken her youngest daughter to a hospital. Her 8-year old daughter was alone in house. Taking advantage of the situation, the lewd accused Vinod Mehra entered the house and raped the eight-year old girl. The accused Vinod gagged her mouth with a piece of cloth in order to prevent her from shouting for help. He even threatened kill the girl if she dared to open her mouth. However, the victimized girl narrated the heinous incident to her mother when returned from hospital. Stunned by the action of neighbouring accused, she immediately approached Jaripatka police and lodged a complaint. Cops have booked the accused Vinod Mehra and investigating the matter further.
In the Hudkeshwar incident, when the victim 32-year old married woman was cleaning her house, a painter working in Vyankatesh City came to her house. The woman was knowing the painter. After a glib talk with the woman, the painter offered her a ‘Kharra-like’ stuff. Not suspecting any foul play, the woman consumed the stuff but soon realized her head spinning and feeling dizzy. The painter, waiting for the situation, soon gagged her mouth with a handkerchief and raped her. After the devilish act, the accused painter fled the spot. The victimized woman, after coming to senses, immediately registered a case against the accused painter with Hudkeshwar police. Cops, acting on her plaint, booked the accused rapist and started a search to nab him.
