Due to the ongoing work at Seminary Hills’ Master Balancing Reservoir, 70 per cent of the city area was without water. People were seen making bee lines to get a bucket full of water. The tankers too couldn’t supply water as there was no water o fill them. The sale of Mineral water shot up. Water pouches costing Rs. 2.00 were sold at Rs. 5.00 and the 20 ltr bottle which normally costs Rs. 50 was being sold for Rs. 80. Citizens might get relief by Tuesday evening as water supply is likely to be restored by then.
