60-yr old man jumps from running Aapli Bus in Ganeshpeth, dies

Nagpur: A 60-year old man, who had jumped from running Aapli Bus at Geetanjali Square in Ganeshpeth area and injured seriously on March 24, succumbed to injuries in the wee hours of Monday, April 8, while undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital.

A resident of Old Vathoda, tenant at Tirpude’s house, Waman Narayan Wadikar (60) was travelling in Aapli Bus from Pardi around 10 am on March 24. For reasons best known to deceased Waman, he jumped from the running bus at Geetanjali Square, near Allahabad Bank, probably to disembark from the bus.

As a result, Waman suffered serious injuries to his both legs and was rushed to nearby Mayo Hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to injuries around 2.45 am of Monday while undergoing treatment.

Ganeshpeth API, based on information, has registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter further.
