Nagpur: In a heinous act, a 50-year old man “raped” a 4-year old girl when the kid went to the man’s house for plucking flowers. The outrageous incident occurred on April 26. The accused has been booked and reportedly arrested.
The accused has been identified as Prashant Laxman Napde (50), resident of Kotwali area. Between 1.30 pm and 8 pm on April 26, the 4-year old girl was playing in her house. While playing, the kid went to the house of the accused Prashant for plucking flowers. On the pretext of helping the girl, the accused took her to his kitchen and indulged in unnatural act and thus ‘raped’ her. The heinous matter came to light when the girl narrated the incident to her parents who belatedly lodged a complaint with Kotwali police in this regard.
WPSI M K Harde booked the accused Prashant Napde under Sections 376(2)(I) of the IPC read with Sections 3(B), 4, 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. It could not be verified whether the accused has been arrested or not.
