4 traders arrested for selling bogus computer spare parts in the name of HP company

Nagpur: Crime Branch of Nagpur Police, in a raid, arrested four traders who were found selling duplicate computer spare parts in the name of HP company brand. A stock of bogus computer spare parts worth Rs 3.10 lakh has been seized from possession of arrested traders.

The raid and arrest was the outcome of a tip-off provided by officials of EIPR Pvt Company Ltd who met the Acting Addl Commissioner of Police Ranjankumar Sharma. The officials informed the police official about large-scale sale of duplicate spare parts of computers in the name of HP company. Acting on the tip-off, the sleuths of Crime Branch along with the EIPR Company officials swooped on the four traders and seized a stock of bogus stuff worth Rs 3.10 lakh. The traders have been identified as Suhas Vasantrao Ghatewar (45) of Untkhana Road, Akash Babanrao Mahajan (32) of Lalganj, Raviranjan Anilkumar Shrivastav (34) of Jattarodi and Devendra Ratanram Desai (24) of Bharatmata Square. The four accused traders were booked under Sections 51, 64 of Copyrights Act and placed under arrest.

The action was carried out by PI Gidde, API Gorakh Kumbhar, PSI Krishnakumar Singh and other cops under the directives of Addl CP Ranjankumar Sharma and ACP Nilesh Raut.
