Government Dental College is all set to receive its first 3 Dimensional X-Ray machine. This Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) unit will be functional during the first week of October. It will prove to be highly beneficial for patients. There are around 150-160 patients undergoing X-rays each day. Till now only 2 dimensional X-ray images were available which would not give a detailed view of the patients dental condition. This machine would prove to a boon to patients undergoing implants. Treatments and procedures can now be performed with more precision and accuracy. Under DPDC, the Government Dental College was allotted Rs. 75 Lakh. The machine has already arrived. After Mumbai Dental College, Nagpur is the only second to receive this machine.
