3 unruly youngsters attempt to murder two friends over petty issue in Yashodhara Nagar

Nagpur: Objecting to two unruly vehicle riders almost cost two friends their lives as they were attacked with lethal arms and injured grievously. Three accused including a girl have been booked in this connection but no arrests have been made yet.

The trouble erupted around 10.30 am on Sunday when the victims Sheikh Irshad Sheikh Sattar (19), resident of Garib Nawaz Nagar in Yashodhara Nagar jurisdiction and his friend Shakib Ansari objected to rash driving by the accused Dashrath alias Ghus Shahu (19) and Mona Yadav (20) of the same area. Enraged by the objection, the two accused and their one accomplice named Rakesh alias Guddu Verma tried to settle score with the two friends. All the three accused arrived on a two-wheeler and accosted Sheikh Irshad and Shakib Ansari and picked up a quarrel with them.

The accused whipped out a knife and attacked Shakib on his right side of stomach with the intention of killing him. Seeing his friend in deep trouble, Sheikh Irshad tried to save him. He too was attacked by the accused trio with a knife also to kill him. Sheikh Irshad received deep stab injuries on thighs and calf muscles.

Yashodhara Nagar ASI Sanake, on the basis of statement of Sheikh Irshad Sheikh Sattar, booked the accused trio under Sections 307, 324, 504, 34 of the IPC. No arrests have so far been made in the case.
