3 teenage girls, all aged 17, go missing from different areas

Nagpur: Three teenage girls, all aged 17, went missing from different areas of the city and have reportedly been abducted. Cops have launched search to trace the girls.

In the first incident, a 17-year old girl, resident of Wadi area, left home around 8.30 am on February 2, 2019, for going to tuition class at Law College Square. However, the girl did not return home and since then has gone missing. Her relatives searched her frantically at all possible places but in vain. A complaint was registered with Wadi police in this regard.

Wadi police constable Sunil Kawde, as per Supreme Court directives that if a minor boy or girl goes missing then the case be treated as that of kidnapping, registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the girl.

Similarly, another 17-year old girl residing in Sitabuldi police jurisdiction, went to her grandmother’s home after college on February 27, 2019. Around 3.30 pm, she left her grandmother’s home for going to her own house. However, she did not reach her house even after considerable time. Her panicky relatives searched her but could not find her. Finally a complaint was lodged with Sitabuldi police.

Sitabuldi Woman API Yelkewar, as per Supreme Court directives, registered a case under Section 363 (kidnapping) of the IPC and searching the girl.

In the third incident, a resident of Kalamna area, a 17-year old girl left her home between 12 noon and 12.30 pm without informing her relatives. Since then she has not returned home. Her relatives, after searching her at all possible places, lodged a complaint with Kalamna police in this connection.

API Pawar, as per Supreme Court directives, registered a case under Section 363 of the IPC and launched a search to trace the missing girl.
