New Delhi: A portion of a three-storey building collapsed in Mumbai’s Kurla area on Sunday. Fire brigade, police and other rescue services personnel have been rushed to spot. However, no casualties have been reported from the incident so far.

Officials have said that it is yet to be known if the partial collapse of the building was triggered by the incessant rainfall the city has been receiving over the past few weeks. More details in the incident awaited.

Meanwhile, heavy rains across Mumbai and adjoining areas continue to affect normal life in several parts. Earlier in the day, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said, “Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur in Mumbai, Raigad, Thane and Palghar today.”

The BEST buses in Mumbai have either diverted or curtailed their services due to water logging in some areas.
Moreover, according to IMD, suburbs of the city are expected to witness more rainfall in comparison to the city.
