Nagpur: Three perverts, including two brothers, have been arrested on the charges of outraging modesty of two women in separate incidents on Friday.
In the first incident, a resident of Koradi, the 22-year old woman left her home around 12.30 pm on Friday for going to Dragon Palace Temple in Kamptee. At the same time, the accused Ashwin Anand Raut (19), staying in Koradi area, told the woman that he will drop her at the residence of her mother-in-law on his Activa. Accordingly, the woman sat on Ashwin’s Activa. However, instead of dropping her at mother-in-law’s house, the accused took her to Suradevi Road, behind Koradi Devi Temple and stopped at a distance. Thereafter, the accused told the woman to ride his Activa and he himself sat pillion. While sitting pillion, the accused Ashwin indulged in obscene acts and thus outraged modesty of the woman. She immediately lodged a complaint with Koradi police in this connection.
Koradi police constable, based on the woman’s complaint, booked the accused Ashwin Raut under Section 354 of the IPC and arrested him.
Similarly, a 24-year old woman, resident of Kalamna area, was strolling along with her sister near their house around 9.30 pm on Friday. The two accused brothers, Roshan Rajkumar Chele (23) and Sunil Rajkumar Chele (26), both residents of same area, accosted them and talked in indecent language. The accused brothers also resorted to vulgar acts and thus molested the woman.
Kalamna Woman PSI K D Kankane, acting on the complaint of the woman, registered a case against the two accused brothers Roshan Chele and Sunil Chele under Sections 354, 354(A)(4), 509 of the IPC and took them under custody. Further investigation is underway.
