Nagpur: Three goons waylaid a couple and robbed them of booty worth Rs 60,000 at knife point in the daylight incident near Isasani in MIDC police jurisdiction on Tuesday. The goons are being searched.
A resident of Hingna, Tiwaskar Wadi, Jayashri Devendra Thote (32) and her friend Dashrath Vasanta Bhokre (29), resident of Raipur, Hingna, were going to Waghdhara from Isasani in their car (MH-40/BE 5172) around 3.30 pm on Tuesday. Midway, as Jayashri felt thirsty, they stopped their car near Ashuk Shaha Mashuk Shaha Dargah. During the same time, three unidentified miscreants accosted them and whipped out a knife. With knife scare, the three goons snatched gold ornaments, cash Rs 500 and two mobile phones collectively worth Rs 60,000 from Jayashri and Dashrath and vanished from the scene.
MIDC Woman PSI Gire, based on a complaint of Jayashri Thote, booked the three unidentified goons under Sections 392, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to nab them.
