Nagpur News: Three criminals dangled dollars and robbed a man of his Rs 3 lakh by resorting to a new trick under their sleeves.

According to police, the goons Shahid (23), Raju (22), and Babla (27) conspired with each other and accordingly lured the man Manoj Narayan Ghate (32), resident of Plot No. 677, Bhandara Road, Pardi, Nagpur by showing him dollars in the denomination of 20. The tricksters dangled a total of 560 notes of dollars to Manoj Ghate and told him to bring Rs 3 lakh in exchange of the foreign currency. The ignorant Manoj too fell in their trap and brought the amount at about 1300 hours on Saturday (April 19).

The goons called Manoj near Dipti Signal, Chikhli Road in front of NIT Quarters under Kalamna Police Station jurisdiction and snatched Rs 3 lakh Manoj had brought for receiving the dollars (approximately valued at Rs 33,000) and fled the spot. The fooled Manoj neither got the dollars nor could not save his Rs 3 lakh. He lodged a complaint with Kalamna police in this connection. PSI Raut has booked the criminals Shahid, Raju, and Babla under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
