26 Senior Police Inspectors shifted in internal reshuffle in Nagpur

Nagpur: About 18 police stations in Nagpur, which had been without an in-charge for the past four days, have now been assigned Senior Police Inspectors to fill the vacant positions. Commissioner of Police, Dr Ravinder Singal, issued the transfer orders on Tuesday by implementing internal transfers of 26 Senior Police Inspectors.

Police Inspector (PI) Nitin Magar has been appointed as the in-charge of Sonegaon Police Station, while PI Ranjit Sawant takes charge of Rana Pratap Nagar, PI Praveen Kale at MIDC, PI Rajesh Tatkare atWadi, and PI Asaram Chormale at Sitabuldi, among others.

Furthermore, key appointments including PI Vinod Godbole assuming the role of Hingna, succeeding in charge of Wadi. Additionally, PI Vinayak Koli, the former head of Kotwali Police Station, has been transferred to Dhantoli. PI Ajay Akre and PI Ranjit Shirasath will oversee Kapil Nagar and Koradi Police Stations, respectively. Further changes in assignments involve PI Manish Thakre taking charge of Sadar, WPI Rajeshree Aade moving to Mankapur, PI Santosh Patil assuming responsibilities at Kotwali, PI Arvind Maharshi overseeing Ganeshpeth, PI Ashok Bhandare managing Ajni, PI Kailash Deshmane leading at Hudkeshwar, PI Popat Dhaytonde taking charge of Nandanvan, PI Vijay Dighe assigned to Wathoda, and PI Rahul Athwale heading Jaripatka.

Moreover, PI Yunus Mulani, PI Anil Kuralekar, and PI Suresh Wasekar have been transferred to the Special Branch. In a noteworthy reshuffle, Police Inspector Narendra Hiware, has been appointed to the Traffic Branch (Sonegaon Division) from Sitabuldi Police Station. Additionally, PI Gajanan Kalyankar of the Crime Branch has taken on the responsibility of the Cyber Police Station. PI Sanjay Mendhe, previously of the Crime Branch, will now serve as the in-charge of the Cotton Market Division within the Traffic Branch.

Meanwhile, PI Santosh Bakal and WPI Bhavna Dhumale have assumed roles in the Sitabuldi Division and Sakkardara Division, respectively, within the Traffic Branch.

DCP Nimit Goyal to handle Crime Branch of City Police

DCP Nimit Goyal has assumed charge of the Crime Branch of City Police following his recent transfer. The 2014 batch IPS officer arrived in Nagpur on Tuesday. CP Dr Ravinder Singal officially handed over the responsibility of the Crime Branch to him.

Currently, he holds seniority among all DCP-level officers in the city. Before this assignment, Goyal served as DCP in Mumbai and previously held the position of Superintendent in Aurangabad Rural. In 2010, he completed his studies in Chemical Engineering. After assisting his father in business for a period, he dedicated himself to preparing for civil services.

In 2013, he successfully entered the IRS cadre in his first attempt. Further, in 2014, he once again attended the UPSC exam and secured a position in the IPS cadre.
