239 cadets march into NCC passing out parade at Kamptee

About 239 cadets were inducted into National Cadet Corps as Associate NCC officers on Saturday after an impressive Passing Out Parade at the prestigious NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee.

The Passing Out Parade was reviewed by Maj Gen NS Rao, Commandant, National Cadet Corps Officers Training Academy, Kamptee. Officer Cadet Lt Dr. Swatendra Singh and Officer Cadet O/C Mani Bhushan Singh won the Director General’s Baton for standing First in order of merit amongst the Senior Division and Junior Division respectively. The Director General’s Banner for Inter Coy Championship was won by Shivaji Company.Photo-5

The Parade was commanded by O/C Dr Nilay U. Pandya.These academicians trained into Associate NCC Officers showed their mettle in an impressive March Past to the tune of “Sare Jahan Se Accha” rendered by the Guards Regimental Centre, Band. The ceremony was witnessed by a number of service and civil dignitaries, distinguished guests, relatives of Officer Cadets, school children and NCC Cadets.Addressing the Officers Maj Gen NS Rao reminded them of their primary responsibility to achieve aims and objectives of NCC. He exhorted them to prepare NCC cadets to take their rightful place as leaders and patriotic citizens in all walks of life including the Armed Forces.

The officer cadets went through a rigorous training programme of three months duration, including personality development, Yoga and Drill, to empower them to conduct NCC training efficiently in their respective units. Resource persons from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Youth Development conducted personality development and life skills program for the trainers.
