A student committed suicide in the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth Police Station.
According to police, the student Abhijit Pandurang Etankar (21), resident of Pahadi Mata Mandir, Ganeshpeth, was found hanging to a wooden block with a nylon rope in the first floor of his house on August 16. Abhijit was studying and also extending help to his grandfather who runs a catering business. The relatives immediately called police but before the police could reach to the spot, Abhijit was already dead. Police sent body of Abhijit to Government Hospital for post-mortem. However, the reason behind Abhijit taking the extreme step could not be ascertained. Police have registered a case of accidental death.
