A 21-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a paying guest house owner in Gurgaon. The woman worked as an executive at a multi-national company.
The incident, according to the police, occurred on Thursday but was reported to them around 8 pm on Friday.
In a complaint filed at Gurgaon woman police station, she said that her PG owner Dharmveer Thakran forcibly entered into her room and raped her on Thursday.
He also threatened her with dire consequences if she approached the police.
The woman approached the woman police station after sharing her ordeal with one of her friends.
“Police have registered a complaint of rape and are investigating the case,” said Deepak Saharan, DCP of East Gurgaon.
The accused is on run and a manhunt is on to nab him, the DCP added.
The woman was a native of Ludhiana in Punjab and has been staying at the PG for a last couple of months.
