With a focus on exposing young, energetic and dedicated research teachers to the exciting new branch of science, an international conference on Hadronic Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics was organized at the Department of Chemistry on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebrations at Rashtrasant Tukodoji Maharaj Nagpur University on October 21 .

The workshop was convened by Prof. L. J. Paliwal, the head of Chemistry department. Keynote addressing and a lecture on Hadronic Chemistry in the form of a video was sent by R.M. Santili of Santilli foundation, USA, the sponsor of the workshop. The video was played during the inaugural function and after the High Tea. Many other video files will be shown during the course of the workshop. Professors Christian Corda, Alex Animalu and Svetlin Georgiev have travelled down to Nagpur for this workshop.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. A.A . Bhalekar Ex.Emiritus Scientist, CSIR, another speaker at the workshop said, “As the leader of a ship, I would say to all participants that if you also make your efforts during this workshop you too, would be benefited. I wish to stress that this workshop is entirely different than the ones you and me have attended so far.”

He further told the audience that collaboration with the R. M. Santilli Foundation depends on their collective performance in this prestigious workshop.

Dr. Mahesh Yenkie, Pro VC RTMNU addressed the gathering and said ,“I am confident that these participants would stand up to foundation’s and up to my expectations. In this way, a gate would be opened for further collaboration with the foundation with substantial funding.”

Coordinator, Prof. C. Corda shared his insight. “It is a great pleasure and a great honour for me to attend to this prestigious workshop. I thank the Nagpur University and the RMS foundation which permitted me to stay here. Hadronic Mechanics and Chemistry have fundamental importance for their potential industrial implications and for the possibility to obtain the new clean burning fuels which can contribute to solve the world energy problems. I hope that this workshop will be the starting point of a new Indian scientific era.”

Resource person, Prof. S. Georgiev said, “Professor Santilli developed and established Isomathematics. From there, I have taken up to further broaden Isomathematics. This would open new applications in physical sciences.” Prof. M. N. Ghoshal of S. K. Porwal College stressed on widening the scope of research in Nagpur University by including this new form of mathematics and its applications.

The Chief Guest of the function, Prof. K. C. Deshmukh, Dean-Faculty of Science, deliberated on initiating research collaborations in new mathematics and its applications in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Nagpur University with the Santilli Foundation.

President of the function, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. M.K.N. Yenkie in his speech promised Santilli Foundation that this University will be looking forward to establish a long lasting research collaboration with the R. M. Santilli Foundation.

The vote of thanks was given by Dr. N. N. Karde, Associate Prof- Department of Chemistry.

The Department felicitated the former retired HoDs by presenting an honourary shawl, shrifal and s certificate of honour in recognition of their services in the development of the department during their tenure. The professors who were felicitated were Prof. A. P. Joshi, Prof. V. N. Ingle, Prof. N. S. Bhave and Prof. K. N. Munshi.

The 6 day workshop is underway at the seminar hall of Regional Telecom Training Centre, Seminary hills.
