The cops arrested two accused from the badly mangled car which met with the road mishap.

During intense questioning, the accused revealed the name of a person who runs the racket named Manish Singh. The accused claimed that the illegal smuggling of Ganja (Cannabis aka Marijuana) was done in a very secretive manner from the farmhouse owned by Manish Singh. The cops verified this and found to be true.

When the cops raided the farm house, they discovered a huge cache of Ganja (Cannabis aka Marijuana) hidden under the tarpaulin of a tipper truck bearing RTO registration No AP-31/TT-9902. The cops were stunned looking at such a huge cache of Ganja.

img-20160908-wa0004When the correspondent of Nagpur Today questioned the District Police Superintendent Anant Rokde about this seizure of such a huge cache of Ganja, he refused to reveal anything.

Till the time of reporting the matter, weighing the seized Ganja was still underway. Some sources in the police claimed that the weight of the seized Ganja is nothing less than two tons.

Sources claimed that this Manish Singh is involved in farming for the last 10-12 years. He used to help the villagers by providing his tractor to be used free of cost for ploughing their fields.

Recently, the accused Manish Singh had purchased a house of 4000 square foot and has made it into a farm house. Villagers claimed that the car which met with the road mishap in at Chikhli (Maina) on Katol-Sawargaon road was the same car that has been seen coming and going to the farm house in Maraksur village for last many days.

img-20160908-wa0006If the cops had not seized the Ganja from the mangled car which met with the road mishap in at Chikhli (Maina) on Katol-Sawargaon road then the cops would have never discovered the illegal drug business that has been thriving in Katol. Only the main accused Manish Singh will be able to reveal how long (how many years) this illegal drug smuggling has been going on. Only intense questioning will reveal if Manish Singh was the main kingpin or there are other kingpins and Manish Singh is only a small pawn in the racket.
