2 policemen arrested by ACB while accepting bribe

: Two police men, under Khapa police station, were arrested by ACB sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 1500 from a complainant on November 27, 2015.

As per details, 1) Naik PC Dilip Chandrashekhar Mishira, 33, attached to police station Khapa and 2) PHC Umashankar Patel (Traffic) under police station Khapa had demanded Rs 4000 from the complainant who was arrested under section 110 Cr P C and put up in the lock up of Khapa police station.

The complainant wanted to escape police action, and so he requested the aforesaid police men who then had demanded Rs 4000 as bribe to set him free. The amount was negotiated and it arrived at Rs 1500.

The complainant unwilling to pay the bribe informed the ACB, Nagpur. Accordingly, the ACB laid a trap and caught PC Dilip Mishra and PHC Umashankar Patle red-handed while they were accepting the bribe of Rs 1500.

Khapa police have registered a case against both the policemen under PCA, 1988. The arrest was executed under guidance of SP (ACB) Rajiv Jain by PSI Manoj Gabhane, PHC Dharmendra Kale,PHC Dilip Jadhav, PCs Santosh Fundkar, Komal Gujar, Mahendra and others.
