Nagpur: In increased cases of its kind, two more minor girls went missing and have reportedly been kidnapped in different areas of the city. Cops have launched a search to trace the girls.

A 45-year old resident of Old Mangalwari in Lakadganj area, in his complaint, told police that his 15-year old daughter, along with a friend, left home around 6 pm on Saturday for going to a temple in the area. After visiting the temple, the girl told her friend that she is visiting her mother and will come back home soon. However, she did not return even after a considerable time. Her father frantically searched her at all possible places but in vain. Finally, he lodged a complaint with Lakadganj police.

Similarly, a 17-year old girl and his father were sleeping in their house situated in Imambada on Saturday night. However, when the man woke up at 1.45 am of Sunday, to his bewilderment, he found his daughter missing. The man searched his daughter frantically at nearby neighbours and at other places but could not find her. The panicked man approached Imambada police and filed a complaint in this regard.

Both Lakadganj and Imambada cops, following the Supreme Court directives that if any minor boy or girl goes missing, then the case should be treated as that of kidnapping, registered cases under Section 363 of the IPC and have mounted a massive search to trace the minor girls.
