2 bike-borne goons rob boy of his camera at knife-point in Nandanvan

Nagpur: Two motorcycle-borne goons robbed an 18-year old boy at knife point and also inflicted stab wounds on right side of his stomach. The ruffians took away Canon camera worth Rs 25,000 from the injured boy. Cops have mounted a hunt to nab the two robbers on the basis of registration number of their motorcycle.

A resident of Plot No. 231, Gharkul Yojana, Venkatesh Nagar, Prajwal Hemraj Bante (18), along with his five friends had gone for photography around 12 noon on Sunday. Prajwal and his friends were standing on Bidgaon-Tarodi Road coming under Nandanvan police. At the same time, two unidentified goons in the age group of 20-22 years, came there on Bajaj Avenger bike (MH-49/TC 049) and accosted them. The goons whipped out a knife and snatched a Canon camera worth Rs 25,000 from Prajwal. As Prajwal resisted their attempt, the robbers first attacked him with a stone and hit on his head. When Prajwal persisted, they assaulted him with knife and inflicted a deep injury on his stomach. After snatching the camera, the goons fled on their motorcycle.

Nandanvan PSI Sayam has booked the two robbers under Sections 394, 34 of the IPC and launched a search to nab them on the basis of registration number of their motorcycle.
