Varanasi/Nagpur: Nineteen people have died and four have been injured in a stampede in Varanasi at the Rajghat Bridge. The stampede took place during Baba Jai Gurudev’s sabha in Varanasi.

A doctor at a hospital said that of the 19 brought dead, 15 were women while the remaining four were men.

Shortly after the stampede, the UP chief minister announced Rs 2 lakh to the kin of those who died and Rs 50,000 for the critically injured.
