18 people booked for duping company of Rs 24 lakh

Nagpur News: Lakadganj Police booked 18 people for misusing their powers and duping Lokjeevan Nagari Path Sahakari Pathasanstha of Rs 24 lakh. The accused are identified as Pandurang Shravanji Umredkar (President), Ashok Mahadev Thakre (President), Sunil Chintaman Dhingre (Vice President), Vitthalrao Jageshwarrao Game (Vice President), Prakash Kashiram Masurkar (Executive Director), Indrapal Fakirchand Ninawe (Director), Anilrao Yogeshwar Nimje (Director), Suresh Jangloo Kalambe (Director), Rachana Arun Angolkar (Director), Sunita Vijay Dowarkar (Director), Nilima Ashwin Modak (Director), Kalpana Vinayakrao Dubey (Director), Hemlata Motiram Chacherkar (Director), Ranchhoddas Shrilal Purohit (Director), Prakash Baburao Chambare (Director), Shankarrao Ramaji Bhoyar (Director), Madhav Ramchandra Itankar (Director), and Sheshrao Govindra Vaidya (Director).

All the 18 accused misused their powers while holding the posts of Directors and Presidents. They did not deposit the money of fixed deposit in Lokjeevan Nagari Path Sahakari Pathasanstha, near Dalvi Hospital, Garoba Maidan. The fraud came to notice to one Sachin Suraj Pawar (31) who is a Regional Special Auditor.

On the complaint of Sachin, Lakadganj police booked all the 18 people and PSI Gowardipe registered an offence under Sections 406, 420, 471 and 34 of the IPC, informed PI Unawane.
