A 16-year old girl, appearing for Class X Board exam, has reportedly been kidnapped. The girl, resident of Wadi area, left her house around 10.30 am on Thursday apparently for appearing in Geometry paper of her Board exam. But she did not return home even after lapse of considerable time and since been missing. All attempts to trace her failed as the girl is suspected to have been lured and abducted by unidentified person(s). On the basis of a complaint lodged by her parents, Wadi PSI Bhaskar has registered an offence against the unidentified accused person(s) under Section 363 of IPC. A search has been launched to trace the girl and her abductor as well.

Hudkeshwar Senior PSI Konkne, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Prabhakar Bode under Sections 467, 468, 471 under the IPC and investigating the matter further. No arrest has been made in the case.
