Nagpur News : A 13-year-old Vipul Sathwane, a seventh class student of Saraswati Shishu Mandhir, drowned in Ambazari Lake on Saturday afternoon. Vipul, a resident of Ahilya Nagar in Jaitala, had been to take bath with his school friends when he met with the tragic incident.
Police said that after coming from school, Vipul left home with friend to watch the Dahi Handi programme nearby. Later, the friends made a plan to take bath in Ambazari Lake. While swimming, Vipul could not oppose the flow of waves and started drowning. However, his friends’ cries for help had alerted a nearby man who even jumped to save Vipul but it was too late. The saviour brought Vipul out and rushed him to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
