12-year old boy goes missing from school in Jaripatka

Nagpur: A 12-year old boy has reportedly been kidnapped from his school in Jaripatka on Friday.

A resident of Flat No. 202, Shri Radhe Palace, near Sunrise School, Jaripatka, Rajesh Khiyomal Chawla (38) told police that his 12-year old son Shivam went to school around 7 am on Friday. Shivam was wearing school uniform. However, he did not return home and since them went missing. Rajesh searched his son frantically at all possible places but could not find him.

Jaripatka police constable Rokde, as per Supreme Court directives that if a minor boy or girl goes missing then the case be treated as that of kidnapping, registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC, and launched a search to trace missing Shivam.

In another incident, a 16-year old girl, resident of Yashodhara Nagar, went to tuition class around 6 pm on February 28 but did not return home. Despite her relatives searching for her, she was not found.

Yashodhara Nagar police constable Ramesh, as per Supreme Court directives, has registered an offence under Section 363 of the IPC and searching for the girl.
